UPDATE: Patricia Ann Tucker.
Although this is not an update from a previous story, one day I hope to bring all of you an update that involves one of the missing posted. Patricia was mentioned in the first story "chasing rainbows". Spoken about as a Jane Doe, that had the internet speculating her identity.
Today is Patricia's day. Since many days, weeks, months, years and decades have passed since she was found, Patricia's story needs to be put out there and her face shown to the world. She was somebody. She has been missed for so many years. Welcome home Patricia.
On November 15, 1978, the remains of a female were discovered partially buried in a shallow grave on a logging road, off Amherst Road in Granby Massachusetts. The autopsy revealed a gunshot wound to the head and a belt wrapped around her neck, indicative of a violent death.
Patricia's case is very newly solved. Just being announced today March 6, 2023, there is not much known about her life. What is known is as follows.
She was born on July 28,1950. She was married to a man named Gerald Coleman at the time of her disappearance. They were married in the year 1977 in Middletown, Connecticut. The couple resided in East Hampton Connecticut at the time she vanished. The last anyone saw her was confirmed by her son Matthew (not Gerald's son). Matthew last saw his mother in 1978 when she dropped him off at a facility in Boston.
As many stories unfold from that time period, Gerald never reported his wife missing. He also will never be questioned as he died in a Massachusetts state prison in 1996. Gerald was convicted in 1968 for attempted kidnapping. He later was convicted for assault and rape in 1995. He seemed to be a very troublesome man, before and after Patricia's existence. We are left to speculate if Gerald committed this vicious crime on his wife. If so, why? If not, then who did? Could they still be out there walking the streets?
We can only hope that Patricia's family will find peace knowing she was waiting for them to find her. Waiting to have her name back, no longer Granby Doe.
